Nongshim Chapagetti Instant Noodles offer a quick and convenient take on jjajangmyeon, one of Korea’s best-loved noodle dishes. The thick and chewy noodles are coated in a rich black soybean sauce with deep savoury, roasted and slightly sweet notes, creating a flavour that is very different from spicy Korean ramyun.

“Chapagetti” combines the idea of jjajangmyeon, Korea’s popular black bean sauce noodles, with the convenience of instant noodles.

Unlike soup-based ramyun, Chapagetti is prepared by draining most of the cooking water before mixing the noodles with the seasoning powder and aromatic vegetable oil. Adding sliced cucumber or spring onions can bring extra freshness, flavour to the dish.

Nongshim is one of Korea’s most famous food brands and a much-loved household name, with its popular instant noodles and distinctive savoury snacks enjoyed as part of everyday life in Korea and around the world.

Preparation Suggestions

1. Boil 600ml of water. Add noodles and soy vegetable flakes.
2. Cook for 5 minutes.
3. Remove from heat and strain the noodles (keep appr. 4 tablespoons of water).
4. Add seasoning powder and mixed vegetable oil. Mix well and serve.
